Apparently we need the free market! It works like this; because people are competitive (http://www.che-lives.com/forum/index.php?act=ST&f=23&t=19616) they constantly strive for things. The free market enables them to do this. Also the free market enables that selling/distributing goods is economical and efficient. With out a free market, you get situations where a company (or an organisation, whatever) can be shoddy in their work 'cause there is no competition.
Or at least I think those are the arguments. Any one got any others? Or rebuttals for these one?

I'm a worker.
I don't "compete" with anybody.
On the contrary. In order for a company to be successful, there must be "cooperation" among workers.
I just do my chickenshit job and wait for my chickenshit paycheck to come in.
I don't like my job, and I certainly couldn't care less how my job comes out, provided that my chickenshit boss keeps me on the payroll.
The majority of people living on the planet are working men and women. And the majority of them hate their jobs.
So, a rebuttal? Tell whoever gave you that cliché bourgeois generalization to get off their cushioned fat ass and into the workplace, or to quit wasting your fucking time.

If you want to compete, you don't have to do that in a capitalistic way. You can compete with people in sports. But The problem is that people then can think that they are better then other people and this is the start of racism, imperialism,...

True, and there are many sports, games, activities, etc. where you can compete fairly.
