View Full Version : Explain Your Avatar

Can you please explain your avatar?

I am always fascinated by some of the strange avatars people have.

My avatar is basically a weird picture I found on the internet of the three creators of my ideology, Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels, and Vladimir Lenin. I could have picked a picture of Stalin or even Hoxha, two people that I admire greatly, but I prefer to pay my main respects to the original trio before I pay my respects to their successors. I might change my avatar though to a picture of all five of these great men.

So, as I said in the beginning, please explain your avatar. Thank you!

It's a Red Star*

So yeah I'm interested in astrophysics and my avatar's a star which is red, just like the famous socialist imagery of the red Star. Not a bad pun... Or is it... I don't have much of a sense of humour unfortunately. :D

*=Well not really technically it's some kind of planetary nebula/supernova remnant (I can't remember which). It's not the star that's red, it's the gas/dust. But I'm not even sure if that's red it might be an infrared image that's had colour edited in I dunno.

If you are an anarchist, then why do you have a quote in your signature supporting a Marxist-Leninist state?

It's a yearbook picture of some guy that the internets thought would be funny to put Peter Griffin as the name. His name is not Peter Griffin, but it exemplifies the ultimate loser looking person (sorry if you look like my avatar, no offense). It symbolizes how I feel on the inside, though I look nothing like that on the outside. Plus, I like the show family guy, although I often find it reactionary, racist, sexist, homophobic.

It's not about how East Germany was great, but it's more about the reason why capitalism sucks and material wealth is overrated. At least that's how I interpret it.

I always wondered exectly what yours was.

As for me I couldent think of anything good so I just made it match my username, sadly this also sends the message my politics are based on cod but I still think some people will still see the irony in it.

Top Cat is the best. I'm particularly inspired by the way he always manages to get the better of Officer Dibble. I think maybe he's an illegalist or something, actually. Something like that. Pretty much he's cool. But it's fun to censor his eyes because then it's like you're not supposed to know who it is but you still know anyway because it's obvious. Deeppp.

This is another just another cod reference, the irony in my name is that many people often accuse MLs of being nationalists and the character "Vladmir makarov" is supposed to be a radical Russian nationalist.

Your avatar is awsome by the way but can I ask what is a commistar anyway?

It's a secret agent duck. Pretty self-explanatory. I drew it myself. It lead to a lot of other duck spinoffs being created... I should change it to one of those.

Commistar is a play on the words "commissar" and "star." I made it up all by myself and I'm very proud of it :)

And if I ever become a leader, my title will be Commistar of the Socialist Republic and I will send kittens to gulags:laugh:. lol jk

Ultra-Nationalist to be correct.

He believes that Russia is the dominant country and that they should be the world's superpower. However there is only one thing in his way, The West. When Makarov is able to access the Russian Nuclear bombs system he will be able to claim all of Europe as Russia....

Comrade Commistar you're right,
Instead of using pictures of leaders of the revolution. We should use the true heroes, the Proletariat.

So I ma using a Propaganda poster now.

Alright this is a cultural Revolution poster used during the cultural revolution in China
The poster is depicting a model worker in the new China, actually driving a tractor rather than using oxen to plow his field and holding aloft a copy of Chairman Mao's quotations. The other main images in the background are factories also of the new China.

The text urges all to, "Provide Great Support to Agriculture".

Here you can see a larger view of it:
