The thing that caught my eye was this:

The Mayor will also promise to lobby the Government for changes to national strike law, so that industrial action “can no longer be triggered by a small minority of union members”.

The whigs are cracking down on us again.

Driverless trains, self service tickets, no staff in stations...worrying times for transport workers.

Business as usual from the bosses then. And a fine exponent and advocate they have in Tory buffoon Boris Johnson. Maximise profits by mechanization, and throwing workers on the scrap heap.

It's time Johnson and people like him were thrown in the dustbin yeah :D

Well, eventually this would be a good thing, post-revolution. As many jobs we can make useless, the better really.

that's the problem though isn't, automation which would be beneficial in a society based around the meeting of human needs serves the exact opposite purpose under capitalism: to increase exploitation.
the only way I see around this now is to base workers demands around making automation work for us, for example that technological developments are not accompanied by any job or wage cuts. of course this requires a very strong workers movement so perhaps at the moment the best we can hope for is to stop technological changes to are used to replace work, hence why I referenced the luddites.

They want to smash the RMT, obviously. We can't let them do this.
