and im all excited that i have it. and i was thinking, well this is good that i have this, cause i really like Che.....and then i realised....i have no idea why the hell i like him so much. im big into nonconformity(although im an idiot and i conform every day). i really realised i dont know enough about him. so i started searching around, found Che-Lives.com, and then found this place. i figure i like forums...so here i am....Hi.
so am i poser cause i bought a Che poster? mostly cause all i knew was that he was a revolutionary, and i did a report on him.
"I’m constantly re-evaluating...For me to think that I’m not enough of a nonconformist because I don’t conform to the idea of a stereotypical nonconformist is rather like a conformist. So am I more of a nonconformist because I’m still my own person? Or less because I have yet to conform to being the ideal nonconformist?"-Me
and im not entirly sure if im just wasting your time...

well, I figure, you're willing to learn, so You're not a poser. And knowing that he was a revolutionary is more than what most people who wear Che Guevara shirts, because its cool, know about him.
And dont try to be anything but yourself. It's been said that A life trying to be someone else, is a wasted life. Let "you" shine through.

You did a report on him and didn't learn anything? Was it fiction? Nevermind. At least you're trying to learn, so no, you're not a "poser". Read A Revolutionary Life Che Guevara by Jon Lee Anderson, you'll learn something :) I love your quote btw :D

That was the first time I've heard that someone did a report about something and still doesn't know much about the subject

yeah Jon lee anderson's biography is a good one and it's about as thick as a phone book too! pretty damned detailed. great read though. There's also a lot of articles on this website that are worth reading too (and some of Che's own writings too, they're always a good read.)
Have fun at the forum!

I have a six foot by five foot Che poster. It reminds me of the cause everyday as I cannot help but notice his massive face.
I don't think you need worry about conformity, its not an important part of politics. It is good that you have an individual personality and can come off as an interesting person when communicatin with others. However, conformity does have its place in society, that is to say conformity can establish universal standards in many areas of society. For example, we all conform to certain standards of polite behaviour, smart dress etc.

I think it's great that you decided to look it up and found this place. I have a picture of Che framed in my bedroom. Celi, the cleaning lady around the house asked me one day who he was cause she sees I have so many books of him and a picture and a few other stuff on my wall cork. It was the best feeling to tell her who he was and what he did. We chatted for a long time and she told me that her 10 year old son wanted to buy a t-shirt of him but she didn't let him until she knew who he was.
