I stopped drinking coffee for a whole hour after reading an article in the Telegraph, about health consequences. Resumed, needing a coffee with my cigarette. That was 40 yrs ago. I ignore the Medical page...the Science one shines the light. Close your eyes and imagine if you will. All the resources of the Artic and Antartic 'unlocked'. The method with graphics outlined to show the means. 3 "small" atomic bombs to make a channel deep into the interior. A "larger" bomb to make room for a port. What convinced me was not the journalists(science correspondent) descriptive....it was the graphics, so professional. Yes the 50's were exciting times full of optimism, though my father peered over his specs and remained sceptical. He thought they might need 4/5 bombs to do the trick!!

Phages, people... the answer to all problems is phages! [/crankiness]

Seriously, though:

There are other resources against bacterial infections. It is a matter of putting the pharmaceutical industry into commodifying them.
