Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a (inspiring) movie or documentary that combines anti-fascism and anti-capitalism.
Does anyone of you have any suggestions?
I was thinking of Living Utopia, but maybe something more modern would be nice.

The documentary called "Zeitgeist: moving forward" is free on youtube and is 2 hours and 40minutes long.

while the zeitgeist movement has many issues and ironically disses marxism, the movie is very valid and well put together. It changed my life and it will change yours. It is the single most important documentary ever made in my humble opinion.

It is mostly about capitalism, and scientific solutions to today's issues. the majority of what they are trying to convey in the movie are really fundamental marxist ideas, even though they try to dissasociate themselves with any idealogy altogether.

When you ignore their dissasociation with marixsm, everythign they say is valid in the third and second movies.

Yes, they use our rhetoric and distract people with their conspiracy theorist loony solutions.

The most inspiring Anti-Capitalist and Anti-Fascist events are the Spanish Civil War, of course. Libertarias and Land and Freedom are both excellent movies. The BBC ran a documentary about the war, which while also good was not particularly inspiring.

Here's a list of various documentaries about Antifa:

Both are easily found online, so pick whichever plot/actors you like better. Libertarias is about a nun who gets caught up in the Revolution and the womens' struggle within it. It has a sad ending, but so does the actual war. Land and Freedom is about a British (American?) ML revolutionary (yes, Leninist) who joins the cause in the name of the ideal. Both have romance (and the former has sex) and are pretty true to the history of the war. I like Libertarias better, but I've seen it a dozen times and Land and Freedom only twice.

EDIT: The BBC documentary is bland. It's good if you're into the subject and don't mind the blatant lies, propaganda, and ignorance about Anarchist ideals.

OT @ psycho, yep. Er komen binnenkort vast nog wel wat mooie gelegenheden voorbij.. Anders bel ik wel als ik weer eens in amsterdam ben.

Thanks everyone.
Zeitgeist is not going to cut it for me. Even though I like conspiracy stuff, it just doesn't connect to what I want/need for that evening.
background: the 31st is the international anticapitalist day (as you might know) and in the netherlands the NVU, a nazi group, is going to have a demonstration on the same day. (their last one.. )
Beforehand during our monthly movie evening, I thought it would be cool if there would a movie/docu that would connect anti-fascism and anti-capitalism. Of course, movies about the Spanish Civil War connect both theme's in a broad sense. Libertarias sounds good, i'll check it out.

Not anti-capitalist but the movie "uprising" about the Warsaw ghetto uprising is pretty good

Zeigeist is bunch of conspiracy theories (hence why they diss marxism) and I can't believe you would fall for that. It's not leftist but rather rightist (as in Right Wing Libertarianism).

You must be refering to the bullshit first movie that they made. I suggest watching the newer ones.

i don't think any of you understand what I said nor do you understand the Zeitgeist movement in it's current state.

yes it started out as a shallow 9/11 conspiracy movement, but it hasn't touched on the subject since the first zeitgeist movie. it has since then become involved with the venus project wich is more marxist than anything else. just because a movement makes one shitty movie doesn't mean all of the movies they make are invalid. please watch the third one.
