View Full Version : How Old Is Everyone?

Churchill has some quote saying that if you're not a liberal when you're young, you're heartless, if you're not a conservative when you're old, you're brainless. Or something along those lines.... I was curious how old everyone is, I'm only 17... hoping this doesn't prove accurate. Hahaha

this is going to be more representative of the type of people who would go to an online forum and post about leftism than the age of leftists in general.

I'm 18.

I suppose you could make the argument it has to do with internet users... but I think it could be interesting.

Oh shit, CONSPIRACY THEORY!

Anyways, I don't know about everywhere else, but in the U.S, as long as you do not make legitimate plans about overthrowing the government, you are OK:thumbup:. Of course, people will say otherwise, but I'm skeptical of theory that the government will kill you.

How about the FRSO guys which happened under Obama? I mean it wasn't murder but getting your door kicked in, your place searched, getting charges against you are all state-repression in my book. And then there's the Black Panthers, the government just straight up killed those dudes.

While searching Austin's bedroom, agents discovered two glass bottles containing petroleum products; one of these bottles had a metal screw top with a hole punched in the lid and the other contained a piece of burnt material. Agents also found boxes containing 63 glass bottles, and a remote controlled detonation device fashioned from a toy car.[8] Austin's car contained fertilizer, cans of brake fluid, and two gas canisters.[9]

Sounds like a potential terrorist. Not that I agree with what the government did.

Almost 22 now. Holy shit, I had no idea most people were so young. I don't even mean that as a bad thing, most of you those that are young I would have expected to be older. I didn't really gain any political consciousness until I was 18 or so.

I've gone to some things organized by the Sparts, but their politics aren't really my thing. At least I can say I have some political experience..

I had no idea Lev Bronsteinovich was so old. I had him figured for a 16 year old or something. Shame on you, having nothing better to do than troll the ICC's comments section. rofl

yeah, I've been guilty of this in the past but I think it's mainly when I got to bars that are full of 17/18 year olds which isn't actually saying i'm old just that I should go to better bars. I can't be bothered with the whinging though, you can moan all you want about how 'old' you are until you actually get there but what's the point. fuck even if you are I know 50 year olds that do more living than people who are meant to be in the prime of their life.
there's plenty things to be depressed about, being 24 isn't one of them.

i think a lot of people who are in their 20s now grew up with expectations about where they should be at this time in their life that are largely unable to be realized due to poor economy, changing labor market, mountains of debt, etc and so there is a sense of crisis and with that a feeling of greater age. technologically and culturally i think things also evolve at a speed which adds to these feelings.
