On it's own, it's good.
In comparison to Morrowind, it's fucking terrible.

I don't have a console or a gaming pc. I haven't gamed seriously since 2007, but I've lately been tempted to build a gaming pc, precisely for this game (and several others).

Keep at it.
The game is worth it.

Where's the "My computer is too shitty to run it but if it wasn't I'd be all over that shit" option?

But returning to topic I really like it, I've never played any of the elder scrolls games until this and while it It is really glitchy in a lot of parts it's just got such a massive world, great looking environments and enough stuff to do I won't need to buy/rent/barrow another game for a very long time.
Does betheda do anything else? I would be interesting in seeing some of their other work.

Fallout 3 is probably the most famous one they developed after the legendary Elder Scrolls series. They published a bunch of games that they didn't develop, though, like Fallout: New Vegas.

Skyrim was boring. The mods that came out, even 'Wars In Skyrim' didn't add any more depth to the game. The spells weren't all that cool. I go back to it sometimes for about 30 minutes to take a break when I'm writing. I put god mode on and load some custom .bats and destroy stuff. That's about it.

Exactly what I do.
I just use console commands, spawn large armies of both legion and storm cloaks, and butcher both the lot at same time. Fun for 30 mins to an hour, then I go off to play Arma 2 and make insurgency missions or stealth, they're fun..

Morrowind was the real god.
Oblivion looked like an action game compared to it.
Plus, it's dynamic quest generation system kinda leads to the "Generic Dungeon #67 Syndrome". The world was big but it kinda lacked depth.

i replayed morrowind pretty recently and may again soon. it was fun and had a lot to do but seriously most of the quests are not much different than skyrim 'go here and pick this up. kill this guy. whatever' i mean skyrim has some different stuff to do and the dungeon are cooler so i dont know why it gets knocked so hard. i thought it was a lot of fun, deffo as much as morrowind
