U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe attracted a steady crowd of friends, politicians and corporate leaders Monday evening for the local rollout of his book, "The Greatest Hoax: How the Global Warming Conspiracy Threatens Your Future."

Inhofe signed copies of the book and spoke to friends and supporters at the Barnes & Noble bookstore at 5341 E. 41st St.

Inhofe's book argues that claims of man-made global warming are false and part of an effort to dramatically increase regulation of American lives and business, as well as to raise the cost of living and taxes.

"The message today is this war isn't over," he said.

When the so-called cap-and-trade bill to limit air pollution stalled, Inhofe said, he stopped writing his book, figuring that the challenge had passed.

"Then we realized they're going to do it through regulations and the EPA," he said.

Inhofe said people are responding to the book's message.

"We've changed a lot of minds with this already," he said.

Don Shank, who said he has known Inhofe since the senator was 11, was one of those on hand to buy a book and collect an autograph. Shank said he plans to read the 320-page book.

"You betcha I am," he said. "It's one of my top issues, really."

Also on hand Monday were corporate executives and elected officials.

Commercial Financial Services and CFS II founder Bill Bartmann bought 23 copies of Inhofe's book and had him autograph them to all the Republican state attorneys general.

Inhofe's book is published by WND Books, which "specializes in adult nonfiction titles with an emphasis on current events, politics, and history," according to its website.

The company's other titles include "The Late Great USA: The Coming Merger with Mexico and Canada" by Jerome Corsi and "Manchurian President: Barack Obama's Ties to Communists, Socialists, and Other Anti-American Extremists," by Aaron Klein. source

Really? He wrote a book like that? Good to see US Senator is spending his time and money helping the poor and down trodden of America.

I mean this climate change deal MUST be disprove before we can solve that little constant war thing and the whole homeless issue.

Glad to see he and many like him have their priority straight.

Let me guess, the book also tells how "green" is the new "red."

Reminds me of Glenn Beck

Inhof is a creationist. He shuns science... yet uses his own made-up "science" to explain where all the water came from in the so-called Noah's Ark Flood. (Claims there was a huge atmospheric 'vapor cloud' surrounding the planet prior to the ancient rainstorm)

There's no limit to what these 'creationists' are liable to pull out of their ass next

Inhofe is unquestionably the dimmest bulb in a chamber with no shortage of dim bulbs.

Hard to do when you realize that there are millions of people who believe him.

The fact that the United States has Senators this insane is a good reason to have a worldwide communist revolution as soon as possible. This week would not be too early.

Wait, wait, I'm pretty sure that even contradicts the Bible.
