Are there any movies that give an accurate portrayal of Anarchism? I know there's a few documentaries.. most of which I've come across seem to be a little old. Only movie I know of is' Anarchist Cookbook', which is a complete joke.

Movies, documentaries, whatever. If you know of anything, I'd love to hear it. Sorry if this has been covered before. If so, please redirect me.

You might want to take a look at Arena One: On Anarchist Cinema published by Stuart Christie and guest edited by Richard Porton, author of Film and the Anarchist Imagination for detailed filmographies. Stuart Christie's site has a lot of anarchist films: http://www.christiebooks.com/ChristieBooksWP/.

Roughly speaking, Porton classifies anarchist movies as films made by anarchists on any subject, films made by anarchists on anarchist subjects, films about anarchism, and films with anarchist characters, films based on works by anarchists.

Films by anarchists include Apropos de Nice and L'Atalante by Jean Vigo, films produced by the CNT during the Spanish Revolution (including documentaries and features) such as Cain! (feature) and Ayuda Madrid! (documentary) films about anarchism: Anarchism in America (documentary,) films with anarchist characters: Sacco e Vanzetti, Rebellion in Patagonia, Libertarias, Land and Freedom; films based on works by anarchists: The Treasure of the Sierra Madre.

Well the best film about Anarchists is probably 'Sacco e Vanzetti' by Giuliano Montaldo; which is a good film no matter what tendency you are. The soundtrack is by Ennio Morricone and the film stars Gian Maria Volonte, Cyril Cusack, Milo O'Shea, Riccardo Cucciolla and Geoffrey Keen amongst others.
