I met one of the guys who started GR today, he came to Canterbury marxist forum and did a thing on Bolivia. The great thing about it is it's much more appealing to people who don't really consider themselves lefties, at least not hard-lefties. I'm going to try to set something up at school, not necessarilly getting people to join but at least getting them to think about it.

Cool, who was it? Do you like the Marxist forums, they can be a bit patchy in my opinion. The ones on Russia are always fun.

It was Guy Taylor. I haven't been to any on Russia yet, I've gone to Chile's 9/11, Rosa Luxemburg, Orwell and Bolivia so far.

Oh, haven't heard of him to be honest. Yeah, the ones on Russia are always good, at least theirs a debate rather than everyone repeating each other. I generally like the way they're set out though. More informal, less intimidating. Some meetings make people feel like they have to have read 'Capital' back to front to get allowed in.
