Feel free to raise any disagreements.

We begin today the publication of the IMT’s analysis of the world situation. This is a draft document that is the basis of discussion within the Tendency and will be voted on with possible amendments at this year’s world congress of the IMT. Part One deals with the general crisis of world capitalism, to be followed by an analysis of specific areas of the world.

Building a Workers' International

Open letter to the members and former members of the IMT

The International Marxist Tendency, IMT, faces its biggest crisis since its inception. The CWI would welcome an open and honest debate amongst socialist and Marxist activists about the issues raised by these developments.

There are two sets of review, analysis and criticism of the IMT's 2012 World Pespectives published on Karlmarx(dot)net one on the general document and the other on China. Also the whole document is published there, not drip feeds.

As KM cannot posts links yet: For anyone interested, the 54 page IMT document can be found here (https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=sites&srcid=a2FybG1hcngubmV0fG9wZW58Z3g6NTFlNTAyOTQ0MjQ0 NGY1NQ&pli=1) (Word document). The comments KM talks about are here (on China) (http://www.karlmarx.net/topics/economic-theory-1/commentsontheimtsworldperspectives2012onchina) and here (on the document as a whole) (http://www.karlmarx.net/topics/economic-theory-1/somecommentsonworldperspectivesbymickbrooks).

@daftpunk

What does this "open letter" has to do with the topic of a perspectives document?

have you read it? The IMT spit off from the CWI didnt they?

So looking at the differences between the two is pretty crucial? No? Key to understanding what's what? Cutting to the chase, I call it.

@daftpunk

Yes I have read it in 2010. I found it very funny. But that's off topic.
Of course one can look at the differences between the two internationals (don't think however this document is the best means for that), but the topic is a perspectives document to be voted on coming summer. That's what I meant to say with that.

I think this is a better prognosis to compare and contrast between the CWI and the IMT world perspectives.

Capitalist chaos – class struggle sharpens - A world in turmoil

CWI – a socialist analysis

Ah that's better material for comparison, thank you!
While the CWI document is a final version voted on by the IEC, the IMT document is still a draft version however, still to be amended and voted on by the World Congress this summer.

Anyone able to summarise the differences between the two?
