hi,
i'm really confused about buying this book,
Che Guevera - " A Revolutionary life".

there are many editions,
1997 edition has 832 pages. Publisher =Grove Press, 1997
the same publisher has released 2010 edition with 672 pages, Publisher=Grove Press, 2010

Other publishers:
1.2010 edition , 640 pages, Publisher=Bantam, 2010
2. 2010 edition ,864 pages, Publisher=Black Swan, 2010.

I read about him in the internet and i was so inspired by che.
I want to know complete information about him.
which book is the best pick?

And i have an other doubt,
why are the no of pages decreased from 1997 edition to 2010 edition.
it's been published by same publisher.
Are the contents decreased?

Please help me chose the edition.

Thank you.

I'm not sure why the pages are different.Keep in mind what format you are buying in though: mass market, paperback, hardcover? All these are different sizes and hence different page length.Sometimes authors also edit and update ontop of the printing style publishers use so pages inevitably end up different. Rest assured though all the content is still there. As for the edition buy the most recent as that one will be the most informative.

It's a great book. Get the Grove Press one, that's the one I have.

The 2010 version is the one I have read, and I've never heard complaints about it or anything negative about that version. Like TheGodlessUtopian said it could simply be that font size was changed and words per page. As well as forwards by people added or taken out.

But great choice, I would highly recommend this book. After you read this one be sure to read Companero:The Life and Death of Che Guevara also. It's good to have multiple sources on a subject because of author bias (whether intentional or not).

I found my 2010 edition on Amazon.com

The only place i found 2010 edition is in amazon.com

But there is no free shipping to India..
Shipping costs are very high (it comes upto 60% of book price) :(

so Still searching for the book.

some of the online sites that has free shipping in INDIA says it has 2010 edition , but no of pages are 819.

I checked the official grove press edition in its site, it should be 600 + pages.

so i think they might not have the correct edition.

I'l try searching for one more week.

if i dont get 2010 edition, i'm going to buy which ever i get.
