It's bad because now this is what people think what all Communists are like.

I don't know who I hate more out of the two of them. At least Glenn Beck has a sense of humour, allbeit a shit one.

I really wish that guys like Webb of the CPUSA would develop the common sense to realize they are just walking into a trap when they agree to these sorts of "interviews". Glenn Beck and those like him are performers who know that they control the parameters of the encounter and are skilled at the shoutdown, the smokescreen and other rhetorical devices. Even a desperate need for attention ought to yield to better judgment and Webb and others like him ought to have the good sense to avoid these spectacles.

"killed like a hundred billion people..." sounds like Glenn had been doing homework work on communism.
I honestly can't tell who a bigger hindrance onto to communist movement, both of these idiots would probably look a liitle more realistic if they where sitting around talking about how much they love capitalism. The daily show's interviews with "socialists" where where more fair and unbiased than this!

NC; that is standard operating procedure for Back and his type, and shame on Webb for not realizing that was how it was gonna roll.

I think that the average Revleft user (however silly some of them may be) has a better understanding of Marxism than Sam Webb, the so-called "leader" of the so-called "Communist" Party. :glare:

Sam Webb came across as being really befuddled and clueless. Perhaps that is indicative of the current status of the CPUSA.

Fact is is that Webb does have common sense, just chooses to ignore it. He has been around for a very long time, and with that experiance comes a peverted form of wisdom that you can only find in whats left of the CPUSA. Walking into the glenn beck buzzsaw is par for the course with these people. That old "getting our name out there" stuff. Watch it while you can because these dinosaurs are never coming back again.

I love how Glenn says: Why can't you have a real conversation?
Well maybe because you are screaming like a 4 year old after every word the man says.
Sam Webb doesn't know much about communism though.
Also hundred of billions of people?

What's a Democrat doing leading the Communist Party of the USA?

I hate Glenn Beck, he is nothing more than a walking, talking, piece of ultra-right propaganda. But I hate the idiotic masses who hang on in his every word even more.

How influential is Glenn Beck, or I should say, how influential/widespread are Glenn Beck's views in American Society?
It would be nice if some of the Americans here could answer this, even if the answer is based on subjective experiences.

Not very, he is dispised by and an absolute joke to a huge majority of the newer generation and he is only really liked by die-hard reactionaries or as I prefer to call them "old people"

I live in New York, where, thankfully, there are very few of the type.

Deicide I agree with VM and MCC that Glenn Beck has limited appeal in the USA. Even Faux News got rid of him.

ie a lot if not most of americans (don't quote me on that, didn't bother to look at census stats ha).
I would say openly liking glen beck may be somewhat of a stigma in and of itself, but most average people (at least around my part of the country) do not take offense to most of the things he says and agree with him in if at least on a basic level. Most people in my area are staunch conservatives.

Decommissioner makes a very valid point. My post was dismissive of Beck's popularity, but I live in Maryland, not Oklahoma. Nonetheless, IMO Beck represents only a minority opinion across the USA when one takes into account where the American population is concentrated.

This video is old: 2009.
I just think both men are failures, but Sam Webb really pisses me off because he took an already shitty, reformist party and managed to make it into an incompetent wing of the Democratic Party.

Rather popular to those who are ignorant of reality. I used to worship him, more or less... (http://www.revleft.com/vb/glenn-lenin-my-t168141/index.html?p=2369958#post2369958)

I love how Beck is always trying to claim that Nazis are socialist. Actually no, it pisses me off. "ooo they have socialist in their name! Nazism is nationalized socialism! (whatever the fuck that means)"

Haha I saw that recently as well. The highlight being some guy from Socialist Organizer agreeing that the Democratic Socialists of America were "pussies".
It was fun to see leftist ghetto "you're-not-a-socialist-imma-socialist" politics on cable television.

Like I always say, don't talk to the likes of Beck and his Fox 'News' colleagues; it only encourages them and makes them think their opinions matter.

That part was great, I'd love to see Glenn try and interview that guy, he would tore Glen to shreds.
