Excellent idea. We have to challenge bourgeois cultural hegemony, and birthday celebrations are a part of our popular culture. Whatever our disagreements over Stalin, Trotsky, Mao etcetera, I would hope that we could all agree that commemorating Karl Marx as one of the founders of the workers' movement would be appropriate.

I have some badges with Marx, Engels, 11th Feuerbach thesis etc issued in Yugoslavia in 1983 on occasion of the 100th anniversary of Marx's death. Perhaps we should do something similar this time?

By the way, we have another big anniversary a year before the bicentennial of Marx's birth - a century since the Great October Socialist Revolution.
