Well it's been verified that NATO/NATO Satelite troops have been active in Syria for a very long time. The real question is: Do Western troops limit their role to logistics and smuggling of arms and such(and most importantly, training, but I'd assume they train the opposition forces outside of Syria), or do they take an active combat role...i.e sniping civilians and government officials like other opposition forces do.

I never heard of it, but I wouldn't be surprised. These seems to be the same as in Libya. The west said they wouldn't sent troops to Libya. They were not mentioning to special forces and intelligence agencies though, which were training the 'rebels', and according to some sources, including one of those shaky mobile phone films, they helped in capturing, torturing and murdering Gadaffi.

Anyways, if none of the users here expected something like this to happen, they must know nothing of NATO's or the United States' thirst for imperialism.
