[nah not my post history on revleft]

so yeah today i was crossing campus to go to the library and outside the union some impeccably dressed bloke with a new yoik accent beckons me over and we have an exchange along these lines:

him: hey man do you know the way to the concert hall?
me: what - a music venue? there are a few around
him: oh?
me: yeah i mean it could be over that way or here at the union i dunno - who are you here for?
him: the dap-kings?
me: ah yeah man i'm going that gig - you're at the right place - you'll see a queue so just follow the crowd

this was at three in the afternoon - the dap-kings gig started at eight - i thought the whole thing was a little weird but assumed he was new to the area and just figuring out where to go

so yeah - go to the gig and there he is playing tenor sax on stage :blushing:

pretty awesome gig tho

One time the pop punk band set your goals came into my work, I recognized them, asked why they were in town, their van had broken down on tour in between DC and Philly and for some reason the manager sent them to a mechanic in my town, like 4 hours (round trip) out of their way.

So they asked if I'd take them to a sports bar to watch the world series, we went to this shitty bar that is populated by rednecks, but its the only real sports bar in town. We hung out and got shitfaced, but I had to work early the next day so I went home, and they were like "brooooo you're not gonna drink margaritas with us? we just ordered them?!" I called them "dweeb-ass nerds" and walked out.

The next day my friend flipped out on me for "not getting a picture with them"...
