What defines you as an American Patriot? Is that undying support for imperialist wars regardless of the effect on a civilian population or sovereign nation? Does that include the ousting of a democratically elected leader in the interest of american hegemony?
Welcome to the board. I hope you get a lot out of your time here.

OK, but why? Do you support "your" troops just because they say they are fighting for America? Would you support them no matter what they did? Why do wave the flag? Why would you fight for a country that exploits people all over the world?

I support my troops as in i hope they come home safely
I believe getting Sadam out of Iraq was a good thing because he did some evil things, but I think Bush just did it the wrong way and should of have done things differently
I would fight for America if it was a cause worth fighting for, it america decided to invade canada to take it over then no, i would not fight but then i think that would be a very different america

...there's no rush. Take your time to understand politics before you commit to anything in particular.

OK, I'll agree with that somewhat, but why don't you support the Iraqi troops too?

Evil things? What has he done that hundreds of leaders all over the world (including Bush) haven't done?

Capitalism and imperialism are causes worth fighting for? And, like pete, I don't think it would be that different.
No harm in being patriotic.
I disagree.
