Strange? Not in Germany.
Antideutsche group is an extreme faction of the Antinationale (Anti-Nationalist) movement. The root of this group is a radical opposition against a nationalism. Some German Communists (especially minority of the Kommunistischer Bund, so-called "Bahamas" group) started in 1990 with opposition against the re-unification of the Germany as an immanently nationalist state. Their slogan was "Nie wieder Deutschland" (Germany - Never Again).
The second implication of their anti-nationalism is combating the German anti-Semitism, what lead them to support the state of Israel and his policy. Because Israel is in conflict with his Arab neighbours Antideutsche have found their arch-enemy in so-called "Islamic fascism". They classify Islam as a backward culture (instead of religion) and see the state of Israel as an achievement of Western civilisation.
Next step was support for the American foreign policy such as the 2003 invasion of Iraq. In their opinion a "capitalist democracy" is more progressive than Third-World status quo and the US imperialism is tool of welcomed globalization. Generally, in the war between a MacWorld and a Jihad the Antideutsche/amtinationale unconditionally support the MacWorld.
Finally, Antideutsche start with a critique of anti-capitalism, which are thought to be "structurally anti-Semitic" (sic).
Question for American comrades: is there any similar group in the USA? I heard about Christopher Hitchens and Euston Manifesto Group or David Horowitz's and his FrontPage Magazine. Are they something like the Antideutsche?
