the only times I've heard classical music are times from my music theory class at school. but recommend me classical music to listen to. I prefer music that is either very major key sounding, or very minor key sounding. none of that middle of the road shit. like the old saying goes, "if the music is in dorian then go fuck yourself"
Baroque chamber music is my thing (fuck orchestras). I mainly like stuff in minor keys. May I suggest Bach's sonatas and partitas for solo violin, and his preludes and fugues for organ, although I understand that they may not be to everyone's taste.

Vivaldi, Brahms. Two of my favorites.

My father plays piano and when I visit I like to hear how Chopin echoes in the house. Makes the wee ones calm down as well.

Baroque music is awesome.
I like some of the sacred music of Monteverdi (even though I am not religious), such as Beatus Vir.
Bach is pretty good too. My favourites include the Brandenburg Concertos and his Orchestral Suites.

I can only agree that baroque music in general and Bach in particular is awesome. I'm currently listening a lot to Bach's Jesus bleibe meine Freude.
