Unfortunately the actual story isn't as dramatic as the story title, but...
Just when you may have thought the ongoing battle between the 99% and the 1% was dying down, it may have been reignited (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/24/banker-1-percent-tip-receipt_n_1299280.html). A wealthy banker left a $1.33 tip on a $133 lunch at the True Food Kitchen restaurant in Newport Beach, California.
To add insult to injury the word "tip" was circled on the receipt, and the banker wrote "get a real job" on the bill.
Stories like this really make me want to see a wave of mob violence against the wealthy

Hoax:
Follow Up of the Day: After that receipt allegedly attributed to a cheapskate banker with a disdain for the 99% began to make the rounds, The Smoking Gun thought it smelled a rat, so it picked up the phone and called True Food Kitchen in Newport Beach and inquired after the veracity of the bill.
Turns out, it’s not so much real as not real in the slightest.
According to a restaurant spox, the receipt has been quite heavily doctored. The original total, said Jami Reagan, was $33.54, not $133.54, and the tip was a generous $7 and change.
As you might have guessed, the incendiary “get a real job” was not scribbled on the original statement either.
As for “Future Ex Banker” — the banker’s alleged subordinate and the person responsible for bringing the receipt to the Internet’s attention — well, they’ve disappeared without a trace.
Could the restaurant be covering for the banker? Could “Future Ex Banker” have gone into hiding for fear of being unmasked and subsequently castigated by their superiors? Or perhaps, as Occam’s razor dictates, this is merely just another Internet hoax in a long list of Internet hoaxes.

That disgusts me!
I think that it should be equal pay, no matter what kind of job you have.
I waitress or a janitor can be more bussy than a capitalist that doesn't do shit!
This is also just my opinion, if you tell me that Im wrong, then you are wrong :p

Ladies and gentlemen, I reiterate the point that I made a few threads ago.
It is not a practical sentiment to hate the rich, or to look for little examples of their arrogance to fuel your desire to struggle against them.
This incident had it been true wouldn't have "ignited class warfare" as the fire of class war has been burning so long as private property has been in existence.
Stay focused, stay calm, and know that the rich create a terrible system, but it is more important to focus on getting rid of the bastards than hating them.

Sorry, but people just want some belief-validating things to scream at like a mob.

The fact that the story so quickly went "viral" reflects the very real anger people fell against the ruling class. Wages are very low in service sector jobs and employees are faced with a lot of abuse both from bosses and arrogant customers. The fact that somebody got so much mileage out of a photoshopped story does say something. This reminds me of the airplane attendent, faced with abuse who openned the emergency exit and left the airplane with a few beers. This got a lot of public support.

That is a strong thing to say, but most workers can't just throw away their job and usually put up with shit.

Wouldn't have it been cool if the restaurant actually broke out into class warfare. "Workers, take out your guns!" lol

Pacifist ?
Hanging someone over a dickish note is barbaric but i have little doubt that the big bankers have done enough damage to working class people to deserve a hanging like illegal foreclosures etc.

This is just rude humor, the real problem is the poor treatment of waitresses by restaurants not the remarks on a tip.

Rich banker is a humongous douchebag with an overly inflated ego? Say it ain't so!It isnt so much that that pisses me off. All the 'bankers' do is moan about how they are overtaxed and hated by the bulk of the population for being as they see it 'successful'. They then turn the blame of for the worlds ills onto the working class, claiming that we are all on huge cushy benefits and don't want to work.
And now, we see a person in A JOB get slatted for not being successful enough. Well would he prefer it if the person didn't even have a job at all, and really was living off the state? Insults like this just make you want to jack your job in take to a career in crime of some sort. You would probably get more respect from these so called 'masters of the universe' for being hardy and ruthless.
The banker should be made to apologize publicly and personally to the waiter.

In regards to the story, it's fake, although I'm sure such incidents will have taken place somewhere.
What a ****.
Sorry, but the word **** isn't allowed on the forum. I would normally give a verbal warning, but as you're new I'll just ask you not to use it again.

The death penalty i think is never justified, and the bankers think that what they do is just and fair, we need to teach them that it is not, you dont do that by hanging people.

Stick around revleft for a while and you will eventually get enough news items that sooner or later will probably change your mind.
and the bankers think that what they do is just and fair
They know damn well what they are doing is criminal with their fraudulent foreclosures this is why they are so damned pleased about paying that microscopic fine they got from Obama because with it comes the guarantee that their crimes will no longer be investigated or prosecuted.
we need to teach them that it is not
And then they will just gladly hand over their banks and live comradely ever after ?
