it's fucked up but it motivates us more to know what is the price in failure for our cause.

Yeah thats terrible. The reason that most of this campaign will be carried out without the people of the U.S. knowing is so they can pull shit like that off.

Bush makes me sick

A minute of Silence
>
>If you are still shaken by the horrifying scenes of
>September 11, please observe a moment of silence for
>the 5,000 civilian lives lost in the New York,
>Washington, DC and Pennsylvania attacks.
>
>While we're at it, let's have 13 minutes of silence
>for the 130,000 Iraqi civilians killed in 1991 by
>order of President Bush Sr. Take another moment to
>remember how Americans celebrated and cheered in the
>streets.
>
>Now another 20 minutes of silence for the 200,000
>Iranians killed by Iraqi soldiers using weapons and
>money provided to young Saddam Hussein by the American
>government before the great eagle turned all its power
>against Iraq.
>
>Another 15 minutes of silence for the Russians and
>150,000 Afghans killed by troups supported and trained by the CIA.
>
>Plus 10 minutes of silence for 100,000 Japanese killed
>in Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the Atomic bombs dropped
>by the USA.
>
>We've just kept quiet for one hour: one minute for the
>Americans killed in NY, DC, and Pennsylvania, 59
>minutes for their victims throughout the world.
>
>If you are still in awe, let's have another hour of
>silence for all those killed in Vietnam, which is not
>something Americans like to admit.
>
>Or for the massacre in Panama in 1989, where American
>troops attacked poor villagers, leaving 20,000
>Panamanians homeless and thousands more dead.
>
>Or for the millions of children who have died because
>of the USA embargoes on Iraq and Cuba.
>
>Or the hundreds of thousands brutally murdered
>throughout the world by USA-sponsored civil wars and
>coups d'etat (Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia,
>Guatemala, El Salvador to name a few).
>
>Maybe, and although the memory of Americans claims
>otherwise, someone may remember the USA attack on
>Bagdad where 18,000 civilians were killed. Did someone
>see it on CNN? Was justice ever served? Or was there
>even any retaliation?
>
>We hope that Americans finally begin to understand
>their vulnerability and the cowardly attacks and other
>tragedies that they have caused around the world.
>
>The dead in other places hurt as much as the dead of
>the Towers, even more!
>
>Now, let's talk about terrorism, shall we?

Not to mention Cambodia and of course Israel

Today was Rememberance Sunday here in the UK and constantly the commentator of the rememberance service shown on television was telling us it was a time to remember the victims in America. This is a time to remember war dead, mainly innocent people conscripted into armies to defend our believes and fight in awful conditions. We have already had minutes of silence for the American causualties, it is time to stop concentrating on American losses and look at what is happening in Afghanistan.

We don't have a minutes silence for the 1000s already killed in "precision" strikes. We need to think of all that have and will die in this atrocious conflict.

I dont mean to insult any of the dead from September 11th but we need to think of the others from the conflict. Not just Americans and Westerners which the media concentrate on but also the poorest of the poor who can not defend themselves.

well , exactly .
The world treats americans like they r humans and the rest of the world r animals !! like they r the only ones that deserve a moment of silence !! When there is an accident in some foreign country , in the news they say ( 100 ppl were killed , including 5 americans ) !!
i saw that once on Al-jazeera channel , a boy in belgium was kicked out from school on 13-9 2 days after the attacks on america , BECOZ when the principle ordered for a minute of silence , he asked ( why dont we also get a minute of silence for our dead brothers in palestine ) !!!!!!!

Itīs a shame to consider an american human being 1000 times more important than afghan human being.

First off, Kevolution, that was fucking great post.

Secondly, I had no idea that 270 people were killed the other day. I mean that plaing just fucking pisses me off. Further more, I had no idea it happened! The media is fucked. I mean I've been watching C-Span all day and not a single word. aaaaah I'm pissed.

I think today, Veteran's day, should be celebrated by an inverted U.S. Flag. Hang that flag upside down with pride and wave it out your window. And so what if you get shot down while holding that flag, your voice would have been heard!

Excuse my pissiness, but really hang that flag upside down, Comrades!

i hang the flag upside down constantly, i have one on my back-pack...i also ripped one up for a lamp shade....i fly it to recognize this nationalism that america is so full of, this same nationalism that starts wars, and causes american-exclusive moment of (silences)...i was sent to the principal the other day because of my refusing to pledge to the flag, i realize many people have fought hard for this freedom, but i will not pledge to this freedom untill we are all in fact one nation with liberty and justice for all, the fact is, this is not a free country, how can a child pledge alliegence to anything? yet they are forced to, people are arrested for burning the flag in this free country, and harrassed by fellow free americans for flying it upside down, this country will never be free, no matter how many bombs we drop and no matter how many people we kill....there is so much more left unsaid...one more thing, consider this moment of silence, kids are allowed to pray during this time right? well what if i was pentacostal, where prayer involved song and dance, could they tell me no?, but other kids are praying...why cant pentacostal kids pray? the moment of silence case wasn't even heard by our own supreme court...jeepers, i could go on and on, about our trigger happy, institutionalized, racist, discriminatory, corrupt, ignorant country....but im a busy man, educate yourselves !!!! no one will ever be able to do it for you, teachers teach what they where taught, for all i know its one bg brain wash...go and learn, it is truly the most powerful weapon of a revolutionary

Yeah 'Guest', I hear ya. I always have to stand for the pledge and take off my hat which says fucking UNITE on it. How retarded is that?

But let me ask you this: "Are kids really forced to stand for the pledge?" If they think saluting the flag is a good thing, which they do since theyre tought all of that propaganda, then they willingly will do so.

This country is so fucked up.

>Secondly, I had no idea that 270 people were killed the other day.

I'd check your sources before you get all hot-headed. I"m not saying that it's not right....I'm just saying.

And secondly, who the hell said that we think that Afghans aren't human?!? Good grief!

And who says that we don't think about the Afghans? A few weeks ago, I saw a newsbroadcast from a refugee camp showing people lining up for just a bit to feed their whole family. They ran out of food before even a fraction of the people were fed. They showed this man asking for "just a cup of flour" to feed his family but he got nothing. Seeing a man beg for food was one of the most upsetting things I had ever seen. The very next day I went into work and started contacting different aid agencies- Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders- to get information on how to get a fundraiser started for the Afghan people. I contacted my company's CEO to get permission to start a fundraiser. I've been posting it on every message board I go to. I'm bugging my friends to try and get a fundraiser for at least blankets or something started within their companies. I know I'm not healing the world or anything, but I'm doing SOMETHING.
What have all you whiney complainers done besides "flying the American flag upside down"? Why don't you put that effort into making the world a little better? I know you can't run over there and help them build a village but you CAN make a difference in their miserable lives. If you want any information on how to help with any of these programs, email me. Get something started in you school. Put your money where your mouth is and do something.

If you don't mind Kev, I am going to lift your excellent post there and post it on another board. Do you have a reference source for that?

well rebel6709 , its good to know that someone cares .

but whats the difference of feeding the afganis and then kill them after a while !
Do u know that the US threw food aid in mine fileds !! And the United nations condemned that , ofcourse only by words ( in private ) !
and what a great help is to throw food , followed with bombs , why dont they next time fill sandwiches with bombs and throw them !!
stop the killings and rescue their lives , then care about their needs !
