Would the general public care about the WBC if they didn't protest military funerals?

I honestly, think no the general public would not care if they were just picketing at Catholic Churches, Eastern Churches, Synagogues, and the funerals of GLBT people. And I have gotten a LOT of flack for this. I think I hit a nerve with some people.

So do you think people only really care because of their choice of venue.

I think what you're saying can be attributed to most conservatives, however there are many people are not bigoted toward LGBT people. To say that, for instance, only communists are non-bigoted toward them is absurd.

Of course liberals and some conservatives can (often are) not bigoted.

But would they care if the WBC was picketing a wedding by two men? or a funeral of a same-sex couple? Are they really outraged by the "God hates fags" signs or by the fact that they are at a soldier's funeral? I hear a whole lot about the later and little to nothing about the former.

No,I can't imaging the general public caring.So as long as their slain soldiers are respected I cannot imagining the wider American people getting upset over religious people saying the shit the WBC does.
