Does anybody here know if the Chinese underground union movement has made systematic use of music to link themselves across different sites?
I think that this could be quite powerful. If not, the obvious candidate is my favorite song, the Internationale. It was famously sung at Tiannanmen, but it has unfortunate ties to the regime there. This is a double edged sword, because that song still has resonance with many people who grew up singing it in school.
So I would think that if not the Internationale, at least some rallying song would serve that movement well. I imagine in fact there probably already is something, but am wondering if anybody knows of anything?
