Greetings,
Upon recommendation from a friend, I found and decided to join this site. I hope to both learn and contribute in a meaningful fashion to what is going on here...
Who Am I? A hard question to really answer meaningfully, but here are a few things....
-I reside in the New England area of the USA
-I am former military
-Background in IR from college, studying now to hopefully go into medicine.
-I support pan-Left movements that are willing to cooperate to actually succeed. I am sick and tired of seeing oppressors, dupes and cynical fools
win by being better able to organize and cooperate.
-Ideological purity seems to me to be a less pressing matter than moving things ***forward***.
-I feel that X people suffering elsewhere in the world is a *bit* more important than the latest blond girl kidnapped/starlet dead/public outing of celebrity/newest fad diet/sitcom.
-I personally want to do something about the aforementioned, and hope others do too.
-I am curious to learn more about the various strains and ideals of the groups represented here. A lot of what I feel about the world and how it "should" be sometimes feels like I'm isolated. This is in contrast to background in studying social/violent movements, military tactics, and political theory.
- I like to believe I am not a complete jerk, though I've been told otherwise.
-I look forward to meeting you all. Feel free to message me or the like anytime...I enjoy decent conversation (especially after a dearth of it in the service).
