How do you anarchists see platformism in the context of the wider anarchist tendency?

It seems that there is some controversy as to whether Makhno's ideas conflicted with the practice of Anarchism as described by the traditional theorists.

It can be said that platformism was a natural conformity of anarchism to the application of its practice. The authoritarianism that characterized the Makhnoists was practical.

the platform itself didn't interest me at all. its a pretty useless document arguing a redundant point. what i dont understand is why the platformist groups today have such shit politics especially when it comes to national liberation and the unions. i dont see anything in the platform that would necessarily lead to these positions..
