I get bored too. Sometimes I think I don't sleep cause it makes the time awake a bit surreal and when I'm that out of it I can sit down and read or watch a movie with friends and be relaxed and not constantly getting up to do things. I play video games sometimes but then I feel guilty and end up not playing for a week and then I go on a video game, hummus, bread, garlic ramen noodle, thai food, pizza, weed, pills, alcohol binge all in one night to make up for it. I find my attention span as I get older is getting worse. It's so fucking bad. Kontrrazvedka and Explosive Situation linked me to a bunch of articles and essays on Greece earlier this morning and I sat down and started reading the stuff and my brain was like 'no fuck you you asshole this is boring you suddenly have to pee and then go watch the first 3 seconds of 100 cat videos on youtube and then get ready to go to work 4 hours early'. I can't stand it anymore. I'm constantly bored and overly-preoccupied with absurd things.

Tbh I've did that, but 2 years ago. I've read his critique of Mao. It was boring as hell and full of racism...You've never actually demonstrated how Hoxha's criticism of Mao and Maoism is "racist." I've heard some Maoists say it as well. Apparently noting that the CCP tried to "Sinicize" Marxism-Leninism for its own ends (including some reversions to traditional mysticism) and that the CCP wanted to transform China into an imperialist superpower = racism.

It's a bit odd since Hoxha actually denounced the xenophobic attitude that prevailed in much of the work of the CCP in terms of outside cultures.

This was about 7 years ago. My buddy and I ran out of pot and alcohol and wanted to get fucked up. Put two heaping tablespoons of nutmeg in a glass of milk, stirred it up to make sure it wasn't settled in the bottom and chugged real quick. Each of us did that.

We ended up finding some alcohol and drank a few beers then fell asleep about an hour and a half after we drank the nutmeg-milk-sludge. The next morning we woke up and were in a completely delirious state. I called people several times and tried to have the same conversation multiple times. I was barely able to walk the 2 miles home because the shadows would make me wig out and intensify everything. I remember sitting in a parking lot for a minute, bummed a cigarette from someone, and ended up twitching and freaking out about being in the open. I tried listening to music when I got home to ride it out, but the music was distorted and made me wig out. It lasted well into the night, though it had lessened in intensity. I wandered home mid-afternoon and slept from around 7PM to around 10AM the next morning.

I felt like I was insane that day. The next morning when I woke up, it was a weird feeling. I was elated that I was sober. I was so happy that I was sober that I didn't even touch alcohol for 3 or 4 months.

oh just shut upKontra claims he read Imperialism and the Revolution, at least the parts related to Mao, Maoism, and China. He calls Hoxha's analysis of all three racist. That basically means that the analysis adopted by pro-Hoxha groups and individuals abroad on these subjects is, essentially, built on racist foundations. I think you'd understand why anyone would want to point out that such is not true.

Perhaps Kontra would like to demonstrate somewhere why the main work by Hoxha is racist? Of course he could just be an apologist for nationalist deviations, of which Maoism, Juche, Titoism, etc. were. Kontra brought this up not only in this thread but in the past, outside of Chit-Chat as well.

It'd be the equivalent of saying that Lenin's The State and Revolution is proto-fascist or something.

Dude, why do you accuse everyone who's critical of Hoxha of being a closet Juche supporter?

Ismail
19th February 2012, 21:40
I don't. Rafiq claimed that Juche arose due to the "material conditions" of the DPRK (which is correct insofar as it could gain any following) and that it was totally natural (not so much), logical (no) and good (not at all) that Kim Il Sung adopted it, because he thus acted in conformity with the "material conditions."

Enver Hoxha noted that Maoism has various elements of ancient Chinese philosophy within it which obviously retain their idealistic and paternalistic views, and that the CCP also suffered from such influences and never combated them on any real basis. It's apparently "racist" to point this out, according to Kontra and some Maoists in the 70's and 80's who just couldn't believe that Hoxha would dare denounce glorious Mao Zedong Thought. I was ranking Maoism with Juche, Titoism, "African Socialism," "Arab Socialism," and what have you, which are all nationalist deviations from Marxism-Leninism.

In chit-chat I thought the aim was to not think too hard?

Rafiq
19th February 2012, 23:53
 "Rafiq said it was good Kim Il sung adopted Juche".

... Because I know they were a response (on behalf of the DPRK regime, the class enemy) to material conditions, not "evil revionists de purifying my orgasmic ideas".

Just like the holocaust was a response to material conditions on behalf of the German Bourgeousie, and that it served their class interest? "No, Nazis had no imparity from start and just became bad guys because they revised ideas."

Ismail
20th February 2012, 00:26
Juche wasn't a "response to the material conditions," unless the "material conditions" were that the WPK leadership knew that Khrushchev wanted them out but at the same time Kim Il Sung and Co. weren't actually interested in defending socialism or pursuing a consistently anti-imperialist line. The end result was Juche, a "compromise" ideology, which today has morphed into something almost completely alien to Marxism.

And yes, it was indeed "de-purifying" Marxism-Leninism. References to Stalin and to the key role of the Soviet Union in the liberation of northern Korea were removed from Kim Il Sung's works by the 70's. Stalin's role in Marxism-Leninism was effectively negated, "non-dogmatic" praise for nationalism and a revival of Confucian leadership cults ensued.

But again, Albania never had anything like Juche despite your attempts to claim that Hoxha somehow "deviated" from Marxism-Leninism in ways you never, ever explained. The "material conditions" there were indeed not very favorable to it, since those who advocated such things were either expelled from the Party or executed throughout the 1950's and 70's.

I also like how Kim Il Sung adopting Juche is "just like" the Holocaust in terms of necessity. I didn't know that the German bourgeoisie apparently had to exterminate Jews in accordance with a correct understanding of the "material conditions." Thanks for that history lesson. First apologetics for Khrushchev and Gorbachev, then Kim Il Sung, now Hitler. That's nice. Were the Khmer Rouge simply acting in accordance with the "material conditions" of Cambodia as well? I'd honestly like to know.

You seem to act as if there was no possible way anyone could have did anything differently. Those pro-Soviet Khrushchevite guys who wanted Kim Il Sung gone in the 50's? Evil opportunists who did not understand the "material conditions" and thus perished at the hands of Generalissimo Kim Il Sung! Collaborators of Nazism who later turned against it? Fools who did not understand the "material conditions" that made necessary the Holocaust. "Hardline" Brezhnevite opposition to Gorbachev? Gorby was just one in a long line of individuals put on this earth by God (revealed to Rafiq as "the material conditions" when he decided to adhere to "Orthodox Marxism" one day after reading some DNZ posts) to prove the doctrine of predestination, and thus Ligachev, Grigory Romanov, etc. were dumbasses who could not foresee the "material conditions" and who could not possibly alter anything at all ever.

This has nothing in common with Marxism, "orthodox" (Marxism is a science, there's no such thing as "orthodox" science) or otherwise. It is in fact used by all revisionists of every hue to argue for their positions or to apologize for the revisionism of others.

The Albanian partisans didn't need Soviet troops to help liberate their capital. :p

Also from a bourgeois source: "Yugoslav sources began to acknowledge that Albanian Partisans did indeed participate in Yugoslavia's war of liberation... affirm[ing] that in late November 1944 the Third and Fifth Albanian Partisan Brigades participated, 'with Yugoslav permission,' in the liberation of the towns of Prizren and Peć in Kosovo and that in late 1944 and early 1945 the Fifth and Sixth Divisions of the Albanian army took part in the final phase of the fighting in Montenegro and Sandzak (Bosnia)." - Peter R. Prifti, [I]Socialist Albania since 1944, p. 198.

Soviet and Bulgarian forces led the way in liberating Kosovo, in part because the local population distrusted the Slavs and because Tito refused to allow Albanian partisans (from Albania proper) the ability to fight in the region early on.

The Yugoslav partisans had a lot more work than thier Albanian allies, and if we are going to talk about the scale and importance of victories,it would go like this:

Soviet Victory > Possible Yugoslav victory > Possible Albanian victory.

Yugoslavia was really destroyed in WW2,it had the fourth number of casualties in the war,(the USSR,Poland had more casualties)

And one should not forget the Sremski front,an epsecially bloody part of the front, and the Batinska bitka.(Some 35 SS divisions fought in that conflict,a big force.)
