In regards the to "homosexual" comment, i was referring to the military. Ive heard several stories of homosexual sexual assaults and whatnot that recieved lenient punishment or were covered up. Apparently sexual assault and rape of female servicemembers is rampant.

Yup, there's a hell of a thread from the OI area if you can find it where now banned user Lt. Ferret was denying that rape was a frequent occurance in the military (he was enlisted at the time). A few users and myself were posting a lot of statistics and stuff on it and it certainly is rampant.

During the Vietnam war the amount of rapes were very high leading to the conclusion that during any protracted conflict rapes inevitably increase due to the high numbers of enlisted people and the lack of caring among the commanders.

Very basic but I remember an anti-military recruiter in the community speak about how when he was enlisted during the Vietnam War the rapes rates were around 70%. Sickening.

Ah,sorry,my mistake,I meant to say of all the women in the military 70% of the active duty servicewomen were raped (It may have been 50% but I can't remember very well as the conversation was a while ago) at one point in their military careers.

Yeah this is a pretty big problem in the military. It seems that is often ignored by the command as well. I heard a story a while back where a female solider reported rape and she was sent to mandatory counseling and it turns out her assigned counselor was a chaplain who told her it accept it as God's will. I think the woman was an atheist. I am fuzzy on the details, so I may not be right on everything, but that is the jist of it.
