Since I am snowed in for today (other than shoveling the damn snow in front of my house.)

I've gone back to a nice, fun, and entertaining online hobby of mine. That hobby is: looking at the Fox News comment sections. If you come and read the comments of these people you can't help but laugh at the sheer ignorance. I personally prefer any stories involving the Greek debt crisis, Occupy movement, or really anything involving protests, demonstrations, riots, etc.

Their ability to relate almost any incident on Earth to "Socialism", "Obama", "Unions", or "Commies" is quite entertaining.

I'm just sharing this since others might find this as funny as I do.

Be warned, there is LOTS of racism.

Here's an example of a typical comment.

There's not much more specific that you can get -- UNIONS ARE TO BLAME FOR ALL THINGS -- they're paying off OUR government and buying control of the country- how much more specific does one need be?

Unions of ALL form and type need to be abolished, FOREVER

BTW, take it as a joke. If you look into it too seriously you will get demoralized.

I managed to get through one before throwing my desktop out the window and firing at it 41 times.

You owe me a new desktop.

BURNING YOUR COUNTRY DOWN WONT HELP YOUR DEBT CRISIS

EVERYTHING THE NEO-COMMMIES DO LEADS TO WEAKNESS, DEBT AND DESTRUCTION

And another gem...

When will socialists ever get it? Their system of government doesn’t work in the real world.

The different things that can come out of Fox Nation is amusing too- they got a little aggregation of what fox readers think of a certain post, so you get some weird things like

etc.

Reading comments like that upsets me so I avoid it at this point. Unless I slip into troll mode.

You'll end up with alcohol poisoning.

Much safer to make a smoking game out of it. Every time you read a comment, take a bong rip.

I thought it was sad how these people post their gibberish on a right-wing echo-chamber because no one cares about their opinions irl and so to be read and egged on by other right-wingers was their way of feeling better about themselves. And then I remembered I was on revleft.

Like clockwork, the Obama administration had another Friday night document dump. This one was Solyndra related. Shocking, I know. We all thought our tax dollars were in the best of hands, right?
The Energy and Commerce Committee has given the White House a deadline of next Tuesday to release documents related to Solyndra in eleven specified categories. Failure to do so could result in a contempt of Congress vote. According to the ECC, yesterday’s 463-page Solyndra doc dump included material from only one of the eleven categories. In their cover letter to Republicans on the ECC, White House lawyers pointed out that once again these documents contained “no smoking guns” as far as evidence of political favoritism goes (their defense on the Solyndra debacle up to now seems to be “we’re not crooked, just irresponsible”). As with any partial release of records on the honor system, why would anybody expect the docs contain any smoking guns? That’s not to say there weren’t a couple items of interest…
Read the whole thing, the evidence indicates that the White House was well aware of the concerns about Solyndra’s viability as early as March 2010. Hey, but it wasn’t their own money they were investing, so it’s all good. Right?
This is getting so old

The funniest part about this is that middle and lower class US taxpayers lost almost nothing on the Solyndra thing.
