Hey :)
I'm from Colombia. Although I am relatively new to leftism, I've formed at least SOME idea of the details in its history and principles. I'm not a specific tendency yet, though I've seen some good stuff in Trotsyite and Maoist theory, but also think anarcho-communism is a good idea  I think I just need to figure it out some more.
Here in Colombia, I've faced some discrimination from my ideas. I had some friends who moved away from me when I mentioned my political stance. I blame it on the bad reputation the FARC-EP have with many people here. One person screamed at me "Go back to Cuba". I've been called a "Simon Trinidad" as well. The fact is, I'm still not sure if I like the guerrilleros. Sure, they're very Marxist-Leninist in practice, and have maintained strong for a long time, but there are some atrocities which I frown upon. I'm also a closeted atheist, and since I'm still living with my Catholic parents I don't plan on telling anyone soon. Same thing with my orientation  It's not easy being me
I actually stumbled upon RevLeft about a month ago, when registration was still blocked, so only until now did I register :P I've looked around the site, the forums, the links, etc., and I think I'll enjoy it. :)
