There is a possible coup d'état underway in North Korea it is widely speculated and rumoured. Kim Jung Un may be dead or is on the run, although unlikely--may just be a rumour.

If this gets confirmed, I didn't see this coming this quickly.
I have a feeling, if it's true, it's likely been an external coup - or an internal coup aided by outside interests.

Just saw this as well, super unconfirmed though.
I think if its true (and thats a big if) its probably the work of some hardliners in the military. Remember, Un is western educated, and spent much of his youth in western Europe, its quite possible he is interested in reform.

Doubt it, Twitter are always proclaiming people dead, Fidel Castro must have died 3 or 4 times now according to it

Hard to belive that the information has gotten out so fast if this is true, remember they kept the death Kim Jong il a secret for many days.

Another communist faction
What do you mean, "another"?
Anyhow, interesting. I guess this gives a glimpse on how unstable the regime really is, if true.

North Korean leadership travels to China frequently. The past failed nuclear talks often took place in Beijing too. I don't think this story is true though, media would have been all over this, not looking at twitter rumors. The gist of Chinese social media rumors is that masked gunmen busted in and killed everyone as he was in a meeting with Chinese officials Sounds more like a script for a video game or movie.

Nope, it isn't. And that's not really hairsplitting. They don't recognize themselves to be socialist anymore either. What remains is a highly nationalist, tinpot dictatorship ruled by an all-pervasive junta.
Anyone considering communist clearly hasn't the faintest clue what communism is about.

They still self-describe as Socialist I believe, but they've dropped all mentions of Communism in their constitution, might be wrong though

this isn't true and if it is, nothing positive will come out of it. it's a military coup we're talking about.
it's irrelevant though because this is fake.

Since the reports seem fake this is an academic exercise, but to my mind one would have to see what replaced to dynasty before one could determine whether the change was a step forward or merely a step sideways.

I don't since, you know if you had bothered to read you would have known it has already been proven false. Perhaps someone ought to change the OP to reflect that. Just in cse other people just jump to the reply button.

It implies, goti, as pesumably straight, would make an exception for the person in question or at least feels sexually attracted to said person, ie "being gay for".

I'm sure you're inquiring into the second part: "Damn, I was so gay for that bloke." It means that I had a man crush on him, since he was hot and all. But I forgot the term "man crush" for a sec.
