Greetings,
I've been interested in joining the community for some time, and have lurked for a while trying to gauge whether or not I would be a good fit. I think that I should be just fine for the most part, but I have a lot to learn.
I'm a 30 year old worker who is marrying the love of his life this coming march. After seeing the way the rich scum my father has spent his lifetime serving as a chef treat him (he's made them thousands if not millions over the years, and they all discard him for someone young and cheap after he builds their business with his bare hands), and the growing way the companies I've worked for treat me I'm becoming sickened with the state of things. The treatment of the working men & women of the world needs to be much better and want to be a part of the solution.
I fear for the future of myself & my soon to be wife in the increasingly reactionary US. All I want in life is a small house with my wife, maybe a yard to garden, and to raise a child of my own. Frankly, I don't think that's too much to ask for in life.
