In what ways can the often complex ideology of Marxism-Leninism be expressed in narrative? Specifically, how might one express a communist-partisan view of the modern world through a narrative that honestly reflects everyday experience? I take interest in communist media as an artist and a writer, but my exposure to realistic fiction with a political message is limited to Steinbeck and Gorky. I wonder if anyone might know of any contemporary or more recent works of socialist realism or otherwise realism with a leftist political tinge. I understand socialist realism persists in some form in propaganda in the P.R.C. and D.P.R.K., but all I've managed to see for myself are posters and visual media.
