Watch this video. You don't need to understand Serbian to get the idea of how these people are doing in cruel winter conditions, it's minus 20 degrees Celsius here.
Right now, local antifa crew, supported by a local radio station, is collecting clothes and firewood for them, but public doesn't seem to give a damn. Comments on a local web portal all go in a racist direction 'why bring them clothes and shit, cause they will sell it on a flea market' and stuff like that. Unfuckingbelievable!
Tomorrow is going to be the coldest day of the year.
I don't know who to rage at anymore, so I'm having a relief go at RevLeft.

Capital will always direct the hatred against other citizens.

When the earthquake in Turkey happened, some people said ''why help terrorists, they are the ones who killed our soldiers and police'' and didn't support help for the region where it happened. I can't understand some people.

Sigh. It's things like this that make me wish for the demise of Western Civilization sometimes. Pathetic, but not surprising. Roma are to Europe what African descended people are to the United States.

^ Serbia is in South-Eastern Europe. East and West, everyone is a victim of capitalism.

Yup. In those conditions I doubt the clothes/shoes or whatever would be sold and even if it was all sold who cares. It's that outreach that's important. Kudos to the local antifa for getting it done.

Yeah, why do people hate them so much? I'm from the USA so I have no idea why. But man, people really seem to have an aversion for them, that's the impression I got on the couple occassions that conversations about gypsies came up. I remember talking to a Dutch Red Cross worker who worked in a refugee camp for political exiles, and when for some reason the subject of gypsies came up, a look came across his face like something disgusting had been mentioned.

Racism combined with class, rooted.
Roma people have been in Europe for centuries, so long that people here 'forgot' that they aren't the same race, so they base their animosity on purely material conditions. They have been oppressed by every ruling idea ever since time began, and they developed a very special social surrounding. But people only see them begging and stealing and no one wonders why are they doing it, which is a basic question. If they understood why, they'd know the reality of social issues and the reasons of their hatred - but as I said, no one gives a fuck to bother thinking about them. 'Let them live on the outskirts, and don't make social contact' is the main thinking when it comes to Roma people.
BTW, here are some photos from the action:
