Just got to the page where Trotsky is murdered by a gaucho wearing a sombrero and wielding a pick-axe.

I found a historical inaccuracy on the first bloody page! No matter how one feel about the Bolsheviks, I don't think anybody who knows about the revolution thinks that the Provisional Government was elected by the Russian people and thereby it can't be claimed to represent the Russian people. Not to mention they forgot to mention the entire context of the revolution. They basically forgot that there was a war going on and that Russia was a poor, technologically backwards country. They make it look like it just happened, randomly and out of the blue. If you are going to make propaganda against communism, at least study some bloody history before you do so! It's not so much their ignorance that pisses me off, but more their deliberate laziness. They didn't even bother to learn anything about Russia.

Correction: They do talk about WW1 later on, but of course they place more emphasis on the effects of Bolshevik propaganda about the war, rather than on the effects of the war itself. And they completely leave out any reference to the fact that Russia was a monarchy. They don't mention soviets, the unelected provisional government or any other important things you would need to know about to understand Russia. I'm starting to think they were being deliberately deceptive rather than ignorant.

To be fair, they do actually cover some of that stuff later on.

Yeah they do, I eventually managed to read that far, but still leave out a lot of important stuff.

I'm dizzy. What I found that was interesting is that Kruschev really did look like a confused monkey in real life!

Isn't that the one that portrays the residents of eastern Europe running out and greeting the Nazis and begging them to "re-open our churches" or something?

'Those commies should shut up and help us against Japan!'
*Soviets declare war on Japan*
'Oh noes! The commies want to annex Japan!'

Good read
