What's the cheapest and easiest way to do my taxes?

I did HR Block last year, and it was rather expensive. Since I need to maximize my returns this year, and have no clue how to do my own taxes, what's the best service or computer program that will let me get as much back as I can?

I've used taxslayer for several years, takes less than an hour. And of you qualify for a 1040EZ your federal return is free.

I dont know about the state, but the canadian revenue agency have a detailled procedure on how to do it online.

It would be surprising if the U.S had not something like that too.
