I remember liberals being a hell of a lot more militant back in the times to Air America but with the arrival of Obama it really seemed to have pacified them quite a bit.

How can we analyze this in the context of the growth of neo-liberal thought. I remember it was the subject of hatred towards the left. They would say things like WMD's are false and are a mere excuse for US warmongering. They would even criticize the troops. And now we don't have Randi Rhodes, and Al Franken is a corporate hack.
Was the death of air America the last neoliberal attack. And is the age of neoliberalism approaching its end.

Air America seems to have been a victim of its own politics. Many if not most of the issues raised on their shows are based on frustration with the american political system. But as liberals they can't come to any conclusions other than reformism. This simply breeds more frustration. Air America just repackaged the same old shit and tried to market it as a turning point for the american left. Catering to middle class sensibilities has become an exercise futility. Not to mention wishy washy loyalty.

I'm aware that there is revolutionary radio, but it just seems like they lost mainstream support, but yes I agree that liberalism just breeds frustration.
