Conditions: excluding worthless personal experiences, regurgitated theory past it's expiry date, and I don't want admissions that we don't know anything, that's not what i'm looking for.

Something new lol. i'm kind of stuck in my own head. i've been reading wallerstein and co. i'm working through my friend's textbook about ideology for poli-sci. none of it really interests me =( i come from a background of reading too much zizek, adorno, foucault etc. I've read alot of marx, and other theory - bakunin, gramsci, bookchin, benjamin, etc. but it doesn't really help me understand the stuff that's happening around me today. kind of like a bourgeoisie who doesn't know what to do with his life lol. I can't figure out what to do ethically. I have a lot of opportunities to get ahold of resources, capitalize on privilege, and get ahold of some money, but i can't see any application in investing that in activist groups, and alot of money for me is like not alot of money organizationally. so the question is what do you know, in terms of knowledge I can actually use to make a difference. If it's how to make laser machine guns you should probably pm me right away.

I'm trying to think of how i can be held accountable for the money I make, i've talked to several friends and we're kind of centering in on the idea of figuring how much money it takes for me to live in a city and do what i need to do. like 30 grand, and then to spend the rest on some agreed on cause (within this small private group) I would have to figure out some scheme to make me permanently accountable - that's that side of it anyway

sounds like a massive waste of time to me.

50-80 thousand a year to facilitating competent people doing real work sounds better then wasting that time trying to organize people in my own life.

organizer. now there's an egotistical position if there ever was one. do that then if it'll make you feel better.

Go for one walk a day by yourself somewhere quiet.

@feral, I'm already cynical as hell about organizing, that's where I start.

I want to find someone with ideas, not people who are stuck in the same rut as I am.

sorry for the lame ass thread.
