Brilliant! The organizers said that it was 300,000 the media said it was 70,000. I tend to agree more with the organizers, the reason being that at 18:30 there where still people coming across Westminister bridge.

I thought the speakers corner was a great idea. Any comrades get up and speak?

I thought the statue was a bit of an anti-climax, probably because we were right at the back at the other side of Charing Cross road.

I thought all in all it was fantastic. I got some great pictures so once i've up loaded them, I can put them on for people to see. We certainly made some noise...

the police where obviously ready for a fight...muthafuckas!!!

Was anyone around Trafalgar Square around 6.30 when the second march turned up?? Me and some other anarchists tried to direct it down Whitehall towards the police line but no luck.

Apart from that, it was fun. We disrupted a live Channel 5 news broadcast by sticking a banner over the camera and chanting out the reader. We started some fires and burnt a Bush effigy. We wound up many a cop. About as effective as you can expect a "peaceful march" to be.

The british news didnt follow the protest very well

Luckily 'anarchists' didn't manage to hijack the event to have a bit of a punch up with the police. As a result the media around the world showed images of a mass protest by a broad movement rather than a few nutty ultra-leftists attacking the police for no apparent reason or benefit.

In that respect, it was a success.

I bumped into Billy, Fay and him coming out of McDonalds (oh the irony) on Whitehall. We got into Trafalgar Square about 4.45. They left after the statue thing but me and my bros stuck about and caused some havoc.
