I use Ubuntu Linux. I have a game on my desktop which I downloaded from a certain torrent site. No laws of the Kingdom of Sweden were broken.

I've wanted this game for a very long time.

Anyway a dumb question but what do I do now? The version I have should be compatible with Linux.I opened up the file and I clicked on the "autoplay exec" icon. It gave me an option to open with "mono runtime". I clicked on that but nothing happened.I tried to open with WINE but again nothing happened.

What am I doing wrong? Should I burn the game onto a CD and then try it?I'm not a technical person.

I've asked computer questions here before and I got very good answers. The linux forums are all (to me anyway) incomprehensible techno-gibberish.Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like the game is actually for Windows, not Linux, and not all Windows applications work with Linux using WINE.

You dont need to make excuces for pirating, all left-wingers should think its ok.

I've always found WINE to be rather frustrating. You're better off "purchasing" WinXP or 7.

what is the game in question?

If there's a native linux client, you are generally looking for some bin file
