I don't understand, did the soldier shoot the baby on purpose or was it an accident? If it was intentional, the soldier should be shot. If it was an accident, you can hardly condemn the Israeli military, or even the soldier responsible for it. There are millions of other reasons why you could condemn the Israeli military.

I think you can condemn the Israeli military for this whether it was intentional or not. If they weren't trying to protect their hegemony over stolen land this wouldn't have happened in the first place.

Well I think you should rationally condem their hegemony over stolen land then not bombard people with pictures of dead babies and use their horror to get them to support the Palestinians. People should support the Palestinians based on facts, of which there are certainly enough of. The simple fact that a baby go shot, perhaps by accident, is not an argument against the Israeli policies. If a baby was accidentally shot by Cuban guerrillas during the revolution, I think most people would still support them. It's Israel's imperialist policies that should be attacked, not one unfortunate event.

People blindly follow Bush's war on terrorism, but never see the destruction it yields. If more Americans saw the pictures of thousands of dead Iraqi civilians then support for the war would be significantly lower.

You might be right, but propaganda is only useful to get the attention of people who would otherwise be clueless. When you start using pictures as arguments, and using illogical arguments to get people angry, that's when it crosses the line to dangerous. I can show you pictures of dead babies to support any statement I throw out. Dead babies are a staple of propaganda (ie babies in incubators, anti-abortion.)

this is just one incident of the terror that palestinians are faced with today. one other incident that i recall is that of a very old woman, with nothing but a walking stick, making her way to a hospital for her cemotherapy treatment. while she was going through the doors she was shot by an israeli sniper.

Israeli soldiers frequently target reporters as well. They have been caught on video several times
