True, but don't blame the mothers if they are doing this. The vast majority only want what they think is best for their children. Blame the discriminatory social conventions that lead them to believe that this is a good idea.

In all cases, the blame is not soleyon the parents but mostly on society's twisted concept of what constitutes beauty and femininity and what makes a woman 'successful' in life.
I worry about having a daughter for this reason...but I guess most dads do / would.
