Hi . I'm Carlene, I used to be a strong member of the CPUSA, while my friend controlled the Louisville Metro area on behalf of the CPUSA . However , I have had a falling out with that . None of my friends are very political , so I'm hoping for some educated discussion . I may only be 16, but I'm in college and I need some mental release . Please be pleasant towards me ((:

Welcome, and if you don't take anything personal here then learn you will! Despite attacking each other for the sake of attacking you will find that most, if not all of the members will help you out if you need it.:D

Question: how were you a member of the CPUSA if you were under 18?
Anyway, welcome.

Greetings. Looks like our generation isn't very politically conscious. Sad.

Hi there! Cool that you're in the CPUSA, although my own tendency believes the way forward for American socialists is convincing the unions to break with the Dems and establish a mass party of labor. Hope to have some good discussions while you're here.

A friend of mine led the meetings in my town, we were really good friends and i was an active member in the discussions. I'm not a registered 3rd party member, but i do what i can to be supportive to the left wing

How big is the CPUSA? Is it growing? Also, are they becoming more radical, in light of the occupy movement?

Welcome to RevLeft!
TheGodlessUtopian mentioned a 'great debate'. If he meant the Left-Right arguments then you'll find them educational and entertaining, however if he meant the Anarchist/Marxist arguments, you'll find that it's mostly yelling and name-calling, and far more entertaining than educational.

Yeah, it's discouraged at best, AFAIK.
Hi Carlene, welcome to the forum and I hope you won't be so shy as to refrain from posting in Learning :)
And to reitarate, it might be best if you removed your photo from the avatar.

I think its board policy that its against the rules to post personal information outside of private messages that can be used to identify you.
