I am trying to put together an organizers' reading list for my local occupy.

I am looking for english language works available on the internet or
via inter library loan that deal with both the theory and practice of
radical organizing. I am interested in the most radical stuff you
have, but I also need solid works that are white bread enough that I
can push them on liberal occupy soccer moms.

Thanks.

I just read Eric Mann’s Playbook for Progressives.

It is brilliant! Mann is best known for his leadership in forming the Bus Riders Union in Los Angeles.

A quote in praise : “Eric Mann is a bridge builder, a gifted organizer who unites Blacks, Latinos, Asians, and whites in the fight for social justice and change. Playbook for Progressives is the Rules for Radicals for the twenty-first century.”
—Rodolfo Acuņa, author of Occupied America: A History of Chicanos

Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" is an absolute must. The section on the morality of means and ends will prove instructive to many somewhat naive occupiers.
