whatchyall mofos rockin?

I've been using ableton for the last 6 months or so and it's boss as hell. I use it pretty much exclusively for synth- and sample-based production, but once I get an interface I want to start recording live instruments as well. Before that I messed around with garageband a little, but really used it more for recording little ideas quickly than any kind of production or major recording.

Anyone here have any experience with Sound Forge?

Spot on about Ableton.

When I am recording demos before I get them properly recorded I tend to use Audacity. Opensource and pretty flexible.

i want to try Ableton really bad but i can't seem to find it...for free.

i use Cubase Le 5 which came with my interface. i pretty much only record live instruments so it works for me.

I've got Audacity, Mixcraft, and FL 10, but I don't have a MIDI controller and my mic broke, so I can't really do anything with that...
