Comrades,
Tomorrow, Saturday January 2, from 12-3 PM Eastern Stardard Time, the very first Martin Sayles Radio Show will be broadcast on the worldwide web. News, analysis and talk radio from a working class communist perspective. Martin Sayles, the host, is a veteran communist activist and is the Chairperson of the Workers Party in America.

Tune in tomorrow, and don't keep it a secret from your coworkers, neighbors, and comrades. We've needed a talk radio program like this.
Oh, between 2-3 PM, starting with the Jan 21st show, you can call in to the Martin Sayles program. Details for calling are on the website link above. No need to be shy, this ain't Rush Limbaugh, comrades!

Not really. It specifies communists who are working class. Not every communist is working class (and not every working class person is a communist, come to think of it, but that goes without saying...).

This might be interesting. I'll definitely tune in.
Any heads up about what your program will talk about or cover? What kind of style are you gonna use? I'm pretty interested.

From what I heard, first show will be basically a intro....what it's about and trying to do with the radio program.
It will be the very first show of a working class communist talk radio, but I don't know much about the style Martin will use. If I had to guess: pedagogical. This should be the kind of radio program that you can share with fellow working people to get THEM comfortable and interested in discussing news, politics, struggles and history from an independent working class outlook that shines light onto our path to revolutionary proletarian self-emancipation and toward communism.
I do know that from 2-3 PM EST, live call ins will be accepted into the show. I will call in.
Come on out on the dance floor. Martin won't bite, I don't think. :)

They had to push the launch back a week (http://www.martinsayles.com/2012/01/20/the-value-of-rehearsing/) due to technical issues.

who are some of the guests you have lined up?
i expect regular renditions of the interantionale?
I am guessing you have no isdn or do you plan on including that?
i trust past shows will be made available as podcasts?
this is all in english i presume?
well anyway good luck. I used to be super involved in community radio and am very interested in efforts to try to use the internet radio format to apply the model for a geographical community to an "online community". Noone's really made it work, but I commend you guys for being ahead of the curve here and wish you the best.
My advice is to keep a good sense of humor about what you do without getting corny like a lot of political hosts. Also you need to have people "IM in" "tweet in" "email in" etc. their questions via textual format rather tahn just calling in, though I understand this makes for inferior audio. And have someone on skype so you can take skype calls too. You'd be surprised the volume of people that treat that like an IM service. If it's an internet only thing you should look into multimedia presentations to go with whatever you're talking about. Like flash animations, audio slide shows, etc... Oh, and tape video of it and put it on youtube! I don't know why, but you can get video hits of somebody sitting at a radio table. A lot of people just don't want to bother with internet radio stuff (even if it automatically opens their music player to stream) but they know how to use youtube, so they put a video on to listen to what's being said but aren't really in it for the visuals. I know i do this :p
Anyways I look forward to seeing where this goes. If you can get it off the ground I think the left is in dire need of a successful service along these lines.

As far as I know :...
No guest interviews booked yet, but requests are out there to a number of people.
The Internationale might appear, if we find worthy versions.
I don't understand what you mean by ISDN.
All shows will be podcasted shortly after the live broadcasts end.
Yes, they will be in English.
Incidentally, there will be text, IM and Skype addresses made available before Saturday.
Now, all of the above said, there are ways that people here can help. We are in need of comrades willing to help us with voice work. You must have a microphone with your computer, and be willing to lend your voice to promos supporting the WPA, Red Star Society, Currlin Press and/or our publications.
Anyone willing and able should PM me.

He was talking about Libya for a few minutes then all I heard was some annoying old pop music. Closed it out and tried to re-connect through his web page but there was just that annoying music. Technical malfunction?

It's the first show, and they're still working out the bugs.
I had an issue on my end for a bit. Closed out, then turned back on and everything is playing fine. Music jumps on in the wrong places every now and then, and they are wirking on that problem.

Looking forward to the archives, which I presume will have downloadable recorded broadcasts. (My connection isn't that great for live streaming.)

I know they're working on that and will have downloadable archives.
At least at first, most listeners will discover and listen to the show via downloads.

The Show will be on later today, beginning at 5 p.m. GMT (12 p.m. ET). It has improved with every episode. And, yes, there is a podcast archive.
