It'd be a massive victory!

this doesn't belong in workers struggles and recalling him is not a massive victory for anyone but the democratic party. the recall campaign destroyed the actual working class momentum from the protests last year and has more or less successfully kept wisconsin quiet since, with madison's 'occupy' being little more than a pathetic campout and all political energy and discussion being limited to an electioral campaign that will be a loss for workers whoever wins.

Whoa, whoa whoa. This isn't something you should belittle. The recall is in fact quite an amazing feat. A useless one indeed, but an amazing one nonetheless. This is a victory for the working class. It is a victory for everyone who wants to have even the slightest bit of protection from their boss. It means that the information is in fact out there. That workers don't need to be that afraid.

Its a little victory which will go a long way.

recall elections of this scale are very rare, yes, and so that is impressive i suppose, but all that really shows is that there is a great deal of discontent and the successful channeling of that away from class antagonism and into electoral politics is a defeat for workers, not a victory. how can something be 'useless' and 'a victory?' most of us in wisconsin are still not protected from our bosses and won't be under a new governor. i don't think a new governor would even change much, just a few tweaks to calm things down. workers should be afraid, afraid of their efforts being co-opted by politicians for their own ends that have nothing to do with ours.

So I've been hearing that reelection would be in the fall or even as soon as summer. Hopefully they stick this through and rid these Republicans out of office and return Wisconsin to a socialist alternative.

I'm from M'waukee. I drink out of a bubbler.
But I'm on the other side of Lake Michigan now in A2, MI. But I went back to sign the petition. I will return for the recall elections.

Lol, if you're ever in the south ask for the bubbler. I've never gotten so many confused looks in my life.

I signed before I left, but literally only have a dollar to my name so I can't go back up there for the recalls.

I've heard of it, don't recall ever going down there though tbh.
