Just a video, don't expect it to be anything other than what it is.

It shows how the internet has conditioned me that I half expected a Ron Paul 2012 ad as the ending.

That speech was made in 1940.

Yeah, and chaplin was a socialist, but that won't stop the Paul supporters from trying to use it anyway.

Charlie Chaplin went hard for the hood with that speech.

Eh, the speech itself is amazing, but the video (the one titled The Greatest Speech Ever Made at least) is full of liberal imagery and other wankery. It needs more allusions to worker struggles and protests, and less Ghandi, for instance. That's just me, though.

Blech! Vomit!

Sticky, bourgeous sentiment, that is what Chaplin was made of.

Fuck this.

Bourgeois leftists sure do make nice, moving videos. Fuck them; we should start making videos of our own that are like that.

I gotta say
I didn't find The Great Dictator nearly as funny as his silent films.

From what I gather he was a social liberal/democrat. McCarthy and the lot had him kept out of the US for a while, though. Great film-maker, anyways.
