What do our Revleft members play?

I've played flute since I was ten, but I've always wanted to be good at a string instrument. Just bought a violin so we'll see.

**Sorry if this is already a thread somewhere, I searched first and couldn't find one.

I've been playing a 70-dollar electric guitar off and on for 4 years or so. I've not gotten any good. I can also play simple tunes on the blockflute/recorder. Sometimes I have a go at the keyboard that my sister left here.

Playing the drums since I was seven. Good thing I started that young, because now I've grown too impatient to learn to play an instrument :P

I play guitar, i was in a band.
I also play piano. Mostly classic pieces.
I "can" play drum...but i'm far from good.

I got a lil Jackson Dinky... A wonder to play :P
What brand of guitar do you prefer?

I can play some piano, cello, and guitar. My main instrument is bass, both upright and electric. Playing it now for 12 years.

I can play pretty much everything apart from reed instruments. Once you can play one instrument, you can play any other.

Been playing the violin on and off for some 30 years. Played piano and trombone a bit when I was younger. My stepdad left me a fairly nice but heavily used Kurzweil keyboard I gotta get shipped over here at some point.

I play acoustic guitar by myself and play drums in a band. I can play other instruments but those are my main ones.

synth (Microkorg)

XL or the earlier "MicroKorg"? Either way, they are such wonderful little synthesizers.

drums, guitar/bass, mandolin, sax, keys/synth, little bit of harmonica. some trumpet and trombone (blowing is still a little bit of an issue).

Guitar, bass. Some keyboard, but only moderately well. The trouble is, I never practice.

Guitar, bass guitar, violin, viola, cello (sort of), string bass, some keyboards/mallet percussion, random other percussion (and I pretend I can play the drums), and trumpet (not really; I suck at it.)

Learning the harmonica would be great. I always have thoughts of songwriting but I don't have the motivation.

I started playing guitar 5 years ago. I was in a band for about 6 months. We only played one show. I stopped playing after we broke up, which was about a year ago now. I was really into it for a while. I practiced for 2 hours every day of the week for maybe 2 years straight. But I got so obsessed with always getting better gear that I eventually saw that it was bleeding me dry financially and I gave it up after I lost interest.

Electric guitar, haven't played for about a year...good times. I used to practice 10-15hrs per day and slept at school sometimes, it was like an addiction

Guitar, bass and drums. I only play drums at the practice studios every saturday with the band though when we take a break and our drummer gets off the kit. I drive them nuts with my blast beats and 500bpm d-beats... I really need a kit of my own lol.

My main ones are my computer (i.e. a bunch of virtual synths, samplers, and drum machines with ableton as a sequencer), voice (primarily "traditional" singing/screaming, but also a lot of beatboxing and weird noises), guitar, and bass.

I have an acoustic drum set in storage that I really wanna move into my apartment. I have an electronic drum set here, but it sounds like shit and doesn't support imported audio/samples, though it can be used as a midi controller which is awesome. I have a Boss drum machine I mess around with and I definitely wanna get a hardware synth at some point. My friend just straight up gave me an MPC500 which is siiiiick, though I haven't had a chance yet to use it much. I also have a cheap little tape recorder that would be fun to experiment with.

I've spent a little time dicking around with CDJs and a mixer, but never got too into it. I definitely wanna try DJing with vinyl though.

I used to play the piano and trombone, but then I took an arrow to the knee. But in all seriousness I did quit a few years back.

Earlier version. Got it for a steal and then had a very enjoyable few months seeing its capabilities!

Bass and guitar. I use to have two bands.

One was raw hardcore noise punk d-beat, inspired by bands such as Disclose, D-Clone, Gouka, GAI, Sieg Heil etc. called Metak za Trockog, in short MxZxTx. In English name means: Bullet for Trotsky. We had 2 gigs and that was that. I played guitar and vocals, friend played bass and another one drums.

I've also had crust/black metal band caled Dendrophila (it's a sex fetish: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dendrophilia_%28paraphilia%29). I played bass here and vocals. My cousin played flute, her girlfriend violin, my friend guitar and we had drum machine. We didn't made a single gig but recorded few songs on phone and computer. Songs were kind of sick...

I've also played in some punk bands that didn't even exist as "long" as these two haha

Does mayonaise count as an instrument?

But seriously, I tried learning the guitar and piano but I neither have the attention span to learn how to play, but i also joint issues that makes playing near impossible for me.

No. But I was thinking of uploading video from a jam in my cousins basemant. It starts with a Kiss cover (Lick It Up :D :D :D), which is a reason why I'm trying to convert VHS into .avi and upload it hehe

i hear that. The MikroKorg XL, which i got from a friend for a great price, is the probably the most fun keyboard i've ever played. The amount of ways you can tweak the pads and synths, longer release, arpeggios, endless effects, is superb.

Metak za Trockog

hahahahaha

I play guitar as well, but it seams that's very popular instrument nowdays, everyone play guitar. I'm thinking to try something else.

I play guitar in a band that kind of combines old school hardcore punk with the vocals and dark feel of 90's powerviolence. even though punk and thrash aren't my favorite kinds of music anymore, haha. I also play bass and actually much prefer playing bass to playing guitar.

Played cello for 3 years in school, but quit because I was tired of my teacher. I'd like to get one for myself and just dick around with that, though.

I'm really really, bad at guitar, but I have like, 3.

I'd like to get into bass, and maybe start a band, but I don't have the moolah.

Blast beats are so epic. You must be pretty good to be able to play those.
