Recently purchased some live albums to make up a 'best gig ever' playlist. Looking for recommendations and interested in your favourites.

The ones I got recently (and love) are

Johnny Cash - Live at Folsom Prison
The Clash - From Here to Eternity (Live in New York, I think)
Nirvana - Live at Reading
Biffy Clyro - Revolutions (Live at Wembley Stadium)

Biffy Clyro - Revolutions (Live at Wembley Stadium)

Ooft. It's a shame, but Biffy really haven't put anything good out since Infinity Land in 2004. I thought Only Revolutions thoroughly sucked, and went a long way to explaining why I left halfway through their Glasgow gig shortly after it was released.

Anyways:

Shonen Knife "Pretty Little Baka Guy (Live in Japan)"
A bootleg recording of a Daniel Johnston gig I was at in Glasgow, 2008
Radiohead "I Might be Wrong (Live Recordings)"
Neil Young and Crazy Horse "Rust Never Sleeps"
Talking Heads "The Name of This Band is Talking Heads"

Rock n' Roll Animal - Lou Reed

Frank Zappa - Roxy and Elsewhere (Zappa was a genius for putting out remixes of live performances, so it's entirely possible that some of what you hear is studio recordings mixed in with live performances. That's just what the old guy liked to do).

I also prefer Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense, but aside from a few songs, I'm not a big fan of this band.
